I posted yesterday that our local event next weekend is in danger of being canceled due to a lack of registrations. I found a BMWCCA event at Barber in November, but it costs $375 (not sure whether that's for 2 or 3 days), and it would be an 11+ hour drive there. I've heard good things about it, but I watched a little bit of the Rolex race this weekend, and it seems like a pretty tight track with not much runoff room.
If you've run on that track, I'd like to know your opinion. Worth the money/drive? Too dangerous for a street car? Anyway, thanks in advance. I'm not thrilled about having to make an unplanned roadtrip just to get on the track once more this year, but I might have no other choice...

I'd love to get some details on that. I looked on MAM's site, and they
didn't list any info about it. If you could forward me some contact info or have him email me, I would greatly appreciate it. 2+ hours is much better than 11+, and I've been anxious to drive that track - I've heard nice things about it.
If there's room for more than me, I can probably bring a bunch of people with me (they would be mostly beginners, though).
