Default Have 2001 S4 tiptronic (car doesn't shift out of first)

No warranty and audi dealer wants new computer tcu before any further work. Giac chip was installed prior to problem. ANy info is appreciated. May take computer to be reprogrammed.

why don't you put the stock chip back in and go from there?

Any codes in the TCU? What happens when you hit redline?

It redlines without shifting, no coding system to check, I dont have access to that setup. Just want to get car running right to ship overseas.

STock chip is back in and car still doesn't move. Runs fine in reverse just redlines in drive or tiptronic gears.

Default You could try unplugging the TCU, let it sit for a few seconds and then plug it back in. Maybe....

something needs to reset.

Do the correct lights light up on the shift plate and instrument cluster? i.e. the PRND321 or 1 2 3 4 5?
