I've noticed the colder it is the less cops are out looking for speeders. The last few days here in MA were very cold. They must all be in the donut shops with hot coffee.

My guess is they don't want people panic braking when they are seen during slippery conditions.

I know if I was a cop, I'd want to stay out of the cold as much as possible.

Keep in mind, you can't use Laser in Rain, Fog, or Snow.

Think of the flip side also. Motor cops on their bikes down here in 110F weather.

Default I agree, but that doesn't explain why they are not out on non snow/rain days...
I think it's just because they don't want to get cold.

Positive. Any precipitiation will defract the laser light and give false readings.
