HELP -- fuse keeps blowing
Has anyone had any problems with their dome light fuse blowing?
Mine doesn't blow immediately. I replace the fuse and it seems to work fine. I drive my truck to work 3 days a week (to help keep mileage off the S4) and the next time I drive the car, the fuse is blown. It turns out this fuse also powers the outside signal lights when the alarm arms or activates.
I'll probably have to take it back to the dealer if this keeps up. Now I've got to go buy more fuses since I used up the one spare 10A fuse.
And BTW, there are no other accessories connected to the dome light circuit. My V1 is hardwired to an empty fuse slot on its own fuse.
TIA.

Re: HELP -- fuse keeps blowing
I am in he process of hardwiring my V1, so I have this all apart.
When you put your V1 in, did you have the dome light unit out of your car? If so, you probably have a +12V source making contact with the bodywork. I would pull the light back out and look for a possible contact point - perhaps a pinched wire?
