Default Do you mean the wire harness that plugs into the ECU?

I will check those. If you are talking about some different plugs, let me know.

I am going to a dyno day and going to switch out ECUs with someone else with an M-box this weekend to see if it is a problem with the ECU, but I doubt this will solve anything.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Default There are 5 colored harness plugs behind the ECU that you can check as well...

if one of those is not loose you may have a broken/shorted wire, probably on the speed sensor tail/plug I'd guess. Good luck.

Default Having a similar problem

Just in the past few days, my tach is all weird - takes a while to bounce up at all, then bounces around a bit - when I shut the car off, it jumps around like crazy (will get a video when i get my digicam back from a buddy) - the funny thing is, i ALSO noticed my coolant gauge didn't shoot up (when car was warm) right away one time.

I checked Bentley CD and other than replacing the cluster, the other recommended fix is to make sure the battery is grounded properly. I did recently uninstall my batter, so I think this may have something to do with it!? I'm going to try cleaning the contacts tomorrow, and will let you know how I make out.

Years seem to have gone since last post here but the question is...

Did you ever solve this one? Im experiencing the same problem and dont know what to do...speedo & odo dont work and fuel gauge moves strangely. Ive changed the speed sensor with no result. Cant figure out what the link is between the speedo and fuel gauge if there is one?

Anyone got ideas?
