It's normal. It will eventually go away.

Default Just got my '01 back from 2nd trip to dealer...

...first time backing out of my driveway, they groaned again. Dealer says it's normal due to the amount of metallic compound in the pads. The advisor also mentioned not to "go easy" on the brakes - go ahead and jump on 'em when/if necessary.

I'm just going to live with it, especially if it goes away after a while. (I'm thinking of painting the calipers and didn't want them messing with them after painting).

My squealing didn't go away until the dealer "deglazed the rotors."
