Default Help! Need to make decision on what to do to my car!
hey guys i really wanted your opinion on something cause im stuck on what to do. I was about to buy a spring/shock combo for my car until i heard labor charges for installation. The spring/shocks go for about $750. Then intallation and realignment is &680 at a top quality porsche/audi shop. That adds up to almost $1500. With that $1500 i could get wheels, or exhaust, or an intake, etc. What do you guys think i should do?

have you done it before? everyone else is telling me its too much of a job. professionals will take about 8 hours

It doesn't take that long. I got mine installed. Shop around at reputable shops.

Do it yourself, 17mm, 18mm, some open ends, sockets, spring compressor (rent it)

Default 8 hours! We did three B-5's in 8 hours.
Two friends and I swapped my suspension out to an A4 while returning mine to stock. The recepient of my suspension took his off and we put it on yet a third A4. Playing a game of musical suspensions if you will.

FWIW, installs from shops in the Chicago area are ~$400.
