ok..
I start up, pull out, drive down the local streets (nice and calm), jump on the on ramp for the free-way and start to speed up.... (here's the problem) all conditions have been normal up to this point! as soon as I boost "about" 10psi I sputter alil' bit and loose all boost! ??? what could be happening?

I did see a rip in the TBB but i didn't think it was past the clamp.

I would think that has to be the problem, even a small tear uner the clamp can be a good leak once the system is trying to make real pressure. Either way replace the TBB it should be not move over $20 shipped.

This seems very similar to what is happening in my '99 A4. What is the TBB? Also, could this be caused by a vacuum leak or is it most likey a loss of boost due to a leak? I am getting a funky throttle body code as well (don't have on hand) which may be a part of this? The other weird thing is that this seems to be much worse now that it has start to warm up? All winter long she ran great. On the first 70 degree day it stuttered every time I hit the gas. One final question is there a way to check the boost pressure with a Vag-Com?
