Help!!! Tire Balancing Problem cont'd...
Here's my story. I recently blew out a tire and had to drive on it for a bit to find a safe place to pull over which totally destroyed the tire. No problem, buy a new tire, but another tire on the same side had a bubble in the side wall, so buy two tires. But both tires were on the same side, so I take a tire from the other side have it switched around on the rim to be able to put the two new tires in front. Sounds like a wonderful story, right? Wrong, I now have a vibration that won't go away. I have had the tires in question balanced twice at a place that has the Hunter GSP9700 or whatever the tire machine that everyone said to look for was. There was no vibration before the new tires, and now there is that won't go away. This is driving me crazy. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be? I just don't understand. Tire balancing does not seem that difficult; I was able to use a machine and balance my last set, and they worked great.
Sorry for the long story, but I wanted to include as many details as may be pertinent. Please help...

Perhaps try putting the rim without a tire on it on the wheel balancer and spin it up and see if it's warped. If you see a wobble, it's the rim, if you don't maybe it's a defective tire (?!?)

That's what they should be doing with the 9700
They should be checking the wheel first and then the tire.
It may be that the installer isn't using the 9700 or worse, may not know how to use it.
