Default Help with a wacky AFR...

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/55390/k16_af_boost.jpg"></center><p>
I got this graph right after getting K16/K04 hybrids in the car...this is running on a version 8 X chip with a MBC. The car has stock everything except those noted in my sig. Anybody have any idea what the heck is going on with this car? How can it go that rich on stock fueling with these turbos?

Any help would be appreciated!

Default i'm confused on this one too

i'd like to see what would happen the afr's if the mbc was taken out completely. I'd also like to see a graph of g/sec if possible

Default MBC removed = Boston (AP) - A large explosion today as a young...

Right? I'm nervous about removing any safety features...these turbos frighten me a bit What do you think would happen without an MBC?

Default you just might hit throttle cut, thats it.

worth a try though to see if the MBC is related to the afr issue

How does the car run and drive? Was the swapp clean? How much hp did you make on the dyno?

Default Answers:

a) the car drives ok...needs software though

b) the swap had lots of oil involved, so no...not clean...but did it work? yes. did anything need to be hacksawed? no. anything beyond that, I'd have to ask the guys who did the install

c) I don't have the final dyno sheet yet...I will post it once I have it. The shop said it made 5hp under a full stage 3 APR kit though, if that helps for comparison.

Default That's somewhat normal for the X chip

It is programmed pretty rich, so you'll hit airflows that max the injectors around 4000rpm, and see 10.x:1, where it will be at its richest. After that the only reason it leans out a bit is you are flowing more air as the RPMs climb, but injectors are still maxed and fuel stays the same. If you can get us a block 002 log (MAF flow and injector pulse width) with VAG-COM it will confirm this.
