Default Here's a thought...though I'm sure you guys have thought of this before...

Anyone ever thought about slapping a supercharger on top of an S4 in addition to the turbos? I've heard of it being done on a Dodge Stealth...

This post is just for fun...so fire away!

Default Just take a 2.8 supercharger kit and modify it for an S4.

Add an additional 8-10psi from very low RPMs...not seriously thinking about it, just a thought...don't know if it would work or not...like I said just for fun.

It can be done. And it should work very well if done properly.

Default a lot of things can be done. And everything works well if done properly

the question is why? If you just want to up the boost - you've got the engine already setup for turbos. Play with that - why bother with a supercharger?

Default A similar idea has crossed my mind...

if you have a large turbo that takes a while to spool up, use a supercharger of some type to speed up the spooling and provide low end boost. I don't see this working on a roots style blower, because that would be after the turbo. I also don't know how much you'd actually benefit, as a centrifugal supercharger does suffer from some lag itself. When you think about it, isn't that what sequential turbos do anyway?
