Default High Performance Tires that Don't Tramline

I've got Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 @ 235 45 17 and *I* love them.

I've never broken them loose and the performance is the same in the wet and they're really quiet...

However, my wife loses her mind whenever she's driving over uneven surfaces and the car tramlines.

Anybody find tires that perform nearly this well but don't tramline?

Default That's just the nature of the beast.

You'll have to give up some performance to reduce the tendency to follow uneven surfaces.

Stiff sidewall tires are more susceptible to tramlining.

Default Tramlining... I always wondered what that effect was called.

I had never truly experienced tramlining until I moved from Hawaii to Seattle. Probably due to the scarcity of Semi trucks and snow tires there.

It shows up very cleary with "ruts from studed snow tires" on some freeways. I have seen it.

Default Ever driven on the metal bridge right outside Hilo headed up towards Honokaa.

It has a metal grated type surface. Major tramlining no matter what kind of tires you have. Almost feels like your car wants to go sideways.
