Default High Revs in 4th cause ESP to activate

Well sometimes when I going on slight inclines and I drop to 4th on the Highway between about 4-5k RPM's the engine cuts power and ESP kicks in for a bit. Anyone experience this? I have a 6sp 2001.5 and MTM stage 1 Chip
Thanks

-Joe

I don't think it's a slipping clutch because the revs decrease. When I deactivate the ESP it runs smooth and does not cut the power.
