Default The best waqy is to log with VAG but you can also unplug the MAF to check if there is a big.........

difference in performance that you can feel using your "butt" dyno.

i wasn't aware that a MAF would be 1/2 dead. isn't it either good or totally bad?

Default I've seen lots of logs where people felt their cars weren't as strong as usual........

They log MAF #'s and sometimes they are lower than normal. Maybe the MAF is "totally dead" but the MAF #'s will reveal a decrease from normal.

For example, normal MAF #'s for a chipped car ~250-280g/s (for example) - bad MAF #'s for the same car might be ~180-210g/s.

Above is just an example, but I've never seen MAF #'s go to zero which leads me to believe it is still functioning somewhat.
