The rear 2 plugs should be the brown and green connectors on the firewall behind the accordian tube

Default Because now there is no current flowing though the system. I wonder if some kind of loopback could

be used to make it think the sensors are still intact.

Default well I never got these before, then this summer I started getting them.

I wonder if the connectors are bad, they plugged in just not into the cats.

Default The complete sensor is plugged in, tied up somewhere?

So the sensor element is exposed? If thats the case it's probably got fried from getting wet and so on. Or did I totally miss what you said?

Default ah good point.. I just figured since the software doesnt look for that code

it would ignore it no matter what. I guess I could get some new O2 sensors to test this theory out. Cant we use the VW ones?

Default Yep. but the VW ones use a different connector. You have to repin or splice the old connector.

VW number 06A906262Q should be around 25~35 bucks a piece.

Default I think I am gonn hook the new ones up and just leave the in the engine bay<m>

so they can stay dry. I guess as long as the ECU sees something there its happy. Thanks again. I've been pulling my hair out on this one. BTW is that the green and brown connector in the engine bay?
