How do I install the "M" box software in my 2000? Please Help, desperate noob:)

Does the ECU have to be reflashed or can I use a VAG-com?

You need to buy M software for your ecu. Then you need to switch your MAF over to hitachi

Default yes you can. GIAC's stage 3- and stage 3 (awe's kit) is M code
You have to switch the MAF. IIRC you still use your A box ECu but just get M box software.

Default If it's stock you'll probably have to, chipped just get an M rom/reflash.
In theory you could put a stock M rom in a stock A ecu, but I don't know that it's been done.

Right now I'm running a GIAC X M rom in a A box ECU with hitachi maf.
