Default How do you chipped cars get away from the dealership voiding your warranty?

email me if neccessary

I want to know my legal standpoints and what AOA can or cannot do.

If warranty was such an issue then why do people out there do it? I heard it can be a very expensive nightmare.

It's easy, switch the ECU, and go to a dealer that you're cool with.

Default From my experiences...

They "don't care" as long as nothing is broken.

I've never been told "your warranty is void" when I come in to get regular service -- or even my broken coolant bottle fixed... or my tranny repaired...

But I think a lot of it has to do with the dealer.

Default That's what happened to me :) The 1st/2nd synchro slider got wedged (broke)...

the tech actually mentioned that it's a somewhat soft metal...

Default Well, your custom exhaust, Forge BPV, and short shifter have already voided your warranty, so...

why not go all the way. To be serious, if they want to be difficult, your warranty could already be toast. Otherwise, people take their chances.

Default Yeah, but if AoA voids the warranty they're not going to pay for it themselves...

Unless they specifically say so somewhere, the fact that they sell and install mods does not mean that they won't void your AoA warranty...
