How do you know when a turbo maybe failing?????
I found some oil on my intercooler piping when I was under the car the other day. And when the car is cold it doesn't want to go (no power) for like a min. till it warms up?

Here goes...
Oil in your IC piping is normal unless you vent the crankcase to atmosphere and it is not recirc'd into your intake.
Let the car warm up before you get on it. Or go WOT with a cold engine, cold trans and cold fluids and wonder why your turbos go.

My S4 is cranky right after it's started as well....
...a bit jerky. Smooths right out after she's warmed up. Seems like this is normal behavior for the 2.7T engine.

what do you mean by "cranky"? Mine's pretty normal, but I really take it pretty easy
until full warmup. I don't detect loss of power (but I don't even go above 2500 rpms cold), or throttle twitchiness, etc. The turbos are a bit louder, but that's normal until everything is warmed up.

Slightly jerky....slight hesitations.
I too take it easy until it's warmed up, but pulling out of my office building, I go right up an pretty steep incline. This is when I notice some slight hesitations or jerks.
