Default I have driven my friends ctsv and i have to say a 3- would take it. I have also raced....

the new vettes a couple little short runs, not enough to say anything definitive but lets just say he wasnt going anywhere and i wasnt at full boost yet.

Default CTS-V about the same HP, but heavier.. Should be OK if he doesn't have any serious mods. S/C's are

used with those for major mods....

Default Nice. Should have kept going. In fourth gear the V would have pulled away.

I used to have a V. Just sold it actually.

Default a well tuned stage 3- car will pull on a stock V. The V weighs 3850 dry

and stock will put down around 320-330 whp on a and 310-320 wheel torque on a mustang dyno. With a few breather mods (intake, headers, exhaust and a retune) most Vs will put down anywhere from 360-370 wheel.

With a supercharger, you're looking at 440+ whp on pump gas.

It's a LS6... tons of go fast mods for it.... but of course at that point, hello to no traction!!!

Check out this guy's CTS-V... he's on the forums... he had a custom ATI procharger put in with a 382 stroker.... BAD ***!

2005 CTS-V

382 CID stroker
ATI ProCharger D-1SC (11 lbs of boost)
Callies Forged crankshaft
Callies Forged connecting rods
Diamond Forged Pistons
3.5 inch pulley
Kooks headers with 1 7/8 primaries
high-flow cats
corsa exhaust

597 wheel hp and 584 wheel torque
on a Mustang Dyno.

Default This one looks like a stocker...

I keep getting crap from people at work saying that the V is the fastest car on the lot. They don't know anything abou mine, except that I like fast cars. I'm not one to go off and get into the fact that it has this and that, so I'll just keep quiet and wait for the opportune moment.

The V is a quick car with lots of potential... but it is by no means the fastest.

Default We don't have too many exciting cars at work...

A C6 vette may be the seemingly fastest and might give me a run for my money, but again traction will be the deciding factor there. None of these guys know how to drive them either, so it's no big deal.

Default same here... one of the sales guys here as a 996 C4 Cab and he

thinks his **** don't stink. He smack talked my CTS-V, so one day during lunch I found myself next to him on the freeway. Needless to say, he never said anything to me after that.
