Default How hard is it to perform a DIY coolant flush?

Not sure why it's this nasty brown. I didn't add any non-G12 coolant but who knows what the dealers might've used to top it off. Dealer claims it's not contaminated, saying it'd have the consistency of a milkshake if green coolant was added in, so I guess it's just plain dirty. Definitely not normal for a car with 45k miles; however, coolant temps are still right in the middle.

I didn't see a tech article on a flush how-to. Got any tips? Kinda worried about vapor lock and a coolant bukkake.

Default Do what I did. Do the thermoswitch mod, and don't replace the black clip at the end.

Drive around for a few minutes and voila, no coolant.

Default Looks like you've got oil in the cooling system.

Most likely cause is a bad oil cooler (the thing the oil filter bolts up to). Get the issue diagnosed and corrected, then worry about how to get the sludge out of the system. Needless to say, it would be better for your car if you took care of all of this asap.
