How hard is it to remove/replace clutch slave cylinder?
#2
On an S4, you'll need to.....
remove the shield above the front left axle, disconnect the hydraulic line, and pull it out of the retainer on the slave. Then, there's only one 6mm allen bolt that holds it in. Remove that, pull the back out some, and slide it out of the bell housing. Sounds much easier than it is. You'll be cussing like a real sailor before you're done.
Also, it's a good idea to lube up the rubber portion of the slave cylinder prior to install, and remember when you're bleeding that the bleed screw is in a plastic housing(don't tighten it too much!). Might take a few times, and pump the pedal between bleeds.
Honest time it would take me? 1.5 - 2 hours max.
