How many turbo swaps you think a team of let's say 4 people do in a week?

Default How many turbo swaps you think a team of let's say 4 people do in a week?

Given that you had 1 engine hoist (and you were lifting, not dropping), enough space for 2 cars to be torn apart in tandem or in such a fashion that the 4 people would get the first car prepped and engine pulled, then while that engine was out, a member of the 4 would then go to the task of swapping turbos and other compnents (one man easy job with right tools), and the other 3 ripped the engine out of the second S4..

then you could split the 4some into 2 man teams, to get both motors prepped (cleaned, k03's removed, cleaned, K04's added (cleaned), Manifolds swapped, and other misc tasks.

Then when a motor was done, 3 team members would get it back in the car if the other engine was not quite ready to be put back in etc.etc.

Sounds like a solid plan, given you had the room and note, everything done on ones back (no lift).

Just think it would be interesting as hell!

Not saying to rush it at all, but more hands make easier work (in some instances) and there could be checks made by others, torque check etc. There would be pancakes and everything hahaha

Depending on who the 4 are, 3-5 swaps in that time

Default How much wood would a wood-chuck chuck if a wood-chuck could chuck wood?

I'd say 5-7 cars.

How long do you think it would take them to do 1 swap? Including clutch and fw and all the fun stuff

Default 1 swap is different

With numerous cars, the team can multitask, assigning people and hands where needed. It wouldn't scale to 1 car.

Default Blah! Whatever :P

No way in hell they are getting 6 or 7 swaps done in that amount of time IMO. I'd be pleasantly suprised if they did and none of them had issues though.
