Default I "fixed" the sunroof wind buffeting problem with an aerodynamic solution! (find out how inside)

By lowering the car! ;-)

I found that since I installed the Vogtland/Konis on my car and thus dropping it ~ 1", there is absolutely no "booming" noise when I open my sunroof, even if I leave all the side windows closed.

Has anyone else noticed this after lowering his car?

it has nothing to do with lowering the car...its probably because your car sits at a different angle

No. Just as bad lowered for me. Opening sun roof half-way seems to help though.

mine has always buffested and it's probably more to do with your rake (angle) then lowering

Default it has to do with the body shape, in the manual it says if you hear a noise click the moonroof in a

notch

Default LOL, didn't you listen to the salesman upon delivery?

The "comfort position" a couple clicks from full open keeps the buffeting down at 40mph or so...

Oh, when I do leave it all open with my pretty low sedan, it still does it. As does my avant at the same speed.

Default It would seem that Audi had a notched pop visor around 97 or so......

This would solve the problem. I saw a car with old tail lights briefly once that had the notched visor. Funny that Audi would get rid of something that worked and replace it with something that made a wonderful booming noise. Using the stock detent on the sunroof switch makes no difference in my car. My parents had a 96 a4 back when they where first delivered in the US and it had a solid visor. Same problem as the S4. I've never seen another visor like that since though.
