I am gonna put a tad of 104 octane with my 91 stuff to see what happens. I wish I was good with math...I wanna see what 93 octane would be like. Adding 2.5 gallons of 104 octane to 14 gallons of 91 octane would generate what effective octane level?

93, but your car would have to be empty to hold 16.5 gallons.

Default OMG. That is exactly what I was thinking too.....

By the way, thanks for your help yesterday. I double-checked all the connections and they all looked secure. I pushed on them again, and one of them locked into place. It's weird, just a fraction of a millimeter makes the difference between a connection on this damn car. It seems to be running much better.

Vag-Tool is on the way too...

Thanks again Steve S.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/513153.phtml">Damn 91 Octane</a></li></ul>

Default See, you SoCal people may not have 94 octane, but there aren't ANY places

to get 100+ octane around here.

It would be = [ 104 oct X 2.5 gal + 91 oct X 14 gal ] / ( 2.5 gal + 14 gal ) = 92.97 oct

Default does any one have any opinions of octane additives, there is 104+, and I know Amsoil has one!

Has anyone tried it? The only reason I ask, is because I live in Colorado and the closest 100 octane location to me is 120 miles away. Any ideas?

Default IMHO

If I had to choose between having 94 octane, and having 91 octane and 100 octane available, I would take the 94 octane. Less expensive in the long run, plus you don't have to worry about mixing them together. Also, the only place around me that has 100 octane is 30 miles away. Not worth the trip to me.
