Default I Figured you might be able to help...

I have an Allroad, and I thought you guys might be able to give me some advice. I am looking for an after market muffler that flow well, but is more on the subtle side for sound. I don't mind sound on acceration, I just don't want a loud hum on the free way. What muffler(s) do you guys recommend? Any suggestions will help .
Thanks

Default I don't know how the construction of the Allroad is compared to ours, but if...

you want "QUIET" and good flow...you'll have to get a resonator+muffler....there's got to be a quiet 3" stainless kit out there...plus you save weight.

Default The S4 Supersprint exhaust is pretty quiet....

....not sure if they make an allroad exhaust or not. Milltek would be another to look into.

Agree: both Supersprint & Milltek are very quiet.

It's dual all the way back like yours, except it branches into dual tail pipes each with a muffler

Default OHHHH, looks like it's hybrid exhaust time,...my idea: mate the Borla resonator and intermediate...

pipe and have a single 3" muffler made with dual outlets...unless you have duals ALL the way back

Default It'll weigh a bit more...plus flow increases to the square of the radius...you might not....

have the best overall gains if you ran 2.5" pipes all the way back...I've got 2.25...2.5" all the way back to 3/4 of the car and then it collects to 3"...you might want to consider this instead.
