I found out that a Viper is faster than an S4 yesterday.

However, not a bad effort for a four-door. I think he didn't want to play at first, but when I floored it, he decided to get in the mood. Can't wait to make these turbos really work. This car is fantastic! This is my first Quattro car, and I love it when the fronts let go and the rear tires start working in the turns and push the back of the car in line! If you come out of the hole at about 4grand you all but jump up in the air. NO squeal. Just forward movement! If you don't have yours yet, get ready. Fun, fun, fun car!!!

Other faster cars (and some slower ones too)

Here's a few more that are faster, and several that are slower. I think it's safe to say that you can pretty much toast a Kia Sportage.

Ferarri F50 0-60 in 3.87
Diablo 0-60 in 4.09
Dodge Viper 0-60 in 4.1
Ferarri 550 0-60 in 4.3
Audi RS4 0-60 in 4.9
Firebird V8 0-60 in 5.0
Camaro SS 0-60 in 5.1
Porsche 911 0-60 in 5.1
Corvette 0-60 in 5.3
Audi S4 0-60 in 5.6
BMW M3 0-60 in 5.8
Lexus GS400 0-60 in 6.3
Accord V6 0-60 in 7.8
Saturn SC 2 0-60 in 8.4
Toyota 4Runr 0-60 in 9.6
Kia Sportage 0-60 in 15.7

M3 has a generally accepted 0-60 time of 5.5 secs

The most recent M3 test car used by Car & Driver against the S4 (0-60 in 6.0) was slower than other M3's tested before by them and other car magazines. Motor Trend has two measurements of 5.5 and 5.5 for '97 and '98 M3 sedans. I think the S4 and M3 are very close in this department.

The toyota 4 runner if it has the optional TRD supercharger does 0-60 in 7.2 with the auto and 0-60 in 6.9 with the stick

its scary out there isnt it
