Default I had the most horrible drive the the grocery store...

My god, no wonder people who drive mini-vans and SUVs hate me so much...because I would be having fun in my S4 and they have to put up with that crap.

Now I have a rental Chevy Astro at the moment. It has the following features:

* No power
* No brakes
* Horrible handling
* rediculously high seating position yet low roof
* horrible ergonomica
* cheap and tacky interior
* it rolls so horribly it is actually nauseating

There are two things I'm pissed about having Imola in the shop:

1. I am making a lease payment on a car that is in the shop
2. I don't get to drive my S4 and have these horrible cars instead.

So when Imola is in the shop, I get all cranky about "oh this car handles so badly" or "oh this car needs better brakes" or "oh my S4 was beat by a Ferrari I hate it"

Do yourself a favor and rent a popular car (like a Taurus) for a weekend...it would do some people well to get the qualities of the S4 in perspective.

GAWD I hate these f**king rent-a-cars.

Default Call Audi leasing and get a credit. Your car has been in the shop long enough.

I would give them a call and explain the situation. I have heard of others doing the same thing and not having to pay when your car is in the shop.

Default I did that when it was only 3 weeks and they said...

it wasn't their policy unless the parts were delayed getting to the dealer.

Of course, now I'm at lemon law point so I figure I have a BIT more negotiating power muhahahaha.

Default Yep, been there once already, they bought it back! (m)

Was a '94 Saturn SL, where you would get a misfire when downshifting to 3rd in 'higher' rpm..

They tried snake oils to 'loose a valve' but they couldn't fix it.
Knowing car makers they did not desire to hear from our little problem, but once we got ahold of the Regional and national manager and let them know we were ready to let others know about their crappy product, we had a check in our hands in 2 weeks .

Good luck, will be very interesting how Audi treats you.

As far as minivans go, the Caravan and the new Honda have the best ride, power and features, great if you have a big family.

Default I had a 4-cylinder Odyssey...

and to be honest its progressive rate springs made it a BETTER handling "car" than the Accord V6 coupe I traded it in on.

The reason I'm in the mini-van is that was all they had left! hehehe

Default hehehehe this thing makes me MISS my rental stratus...

that was LIGHT YEARS better than this mini-van. This POS TOWERS over suburbans but has a shortish wheelbase and a relatively narrow track....uh neato roll-over machine!

Default Thanks NASA, after reading about the C32, that is exactly what I needed reminding of. Sometimes I

feel like all my friends are rich and have beautiful girlfriends/wifes, and I have to remind myself that I have a great job (I could be wearing an orange vest at Home Depot), a great girlfriend (I could have NO girlfriend), and a GREAT car. Life is good.

P.S. I work with a guy who is both an architect and an attorney. He has $2,000 per month student loan payments. We did the math one day and that is like him taking $34,000 pre-tax off of his annual salary without him buying a thing. Now that sucks. He could own a $150,000 car for that kind of money.

Default Cheer up - some of us spend 2-3 days every week on the road w/rental cars/cabs.....

It makes the experience of driving my S4 home from the airport all the more satisfying.....
