I hit a curb tonight....feeling bad....(please help)
I am so stupid. I am so careful with my car, and I was being overly careful tonight parking far away from the car next to me, and my front passenger side wheel hit a concrete curb on the side of me!! The wheel is scraped up pretty bad. That isn't what's worrying me, because I will swap it with the trunk one, and buy a new wheel if I should ever need one.
My question is: Could I have done any other damage to the car? I was going about 1mph. I didn't climb the curb, but I definetely hit it. I felt something wierd through the steering wheel. Do you think I could have done any damage to the suspension, or the quattro system in any way? I am really worried about this, because I can always replace a wheel, but I don't want the car to drive any differently. I will be extremely careful in the future. It's a shame this happened...
My advice to all: Be careful of curbs
Thanks, and please let me know if you have any insight or anything that could make me feel better.

I hit a curb HARD avoiding a kid on a bike...
This kid rode out across a street from behind a truck without even looking and I swerved into the curb on the other side of the street and hit it hard enough to blow my tire and ding my wheel. Nothing seems to have been damaged in my suspension/steering and the alignment wasn't even messed up. I also scraped a back wheel making a right turn the first day I owned the car and (other than screwing up a wheel) didn't hurt anything.
Brand new wheels with tires often come up for sale as owners get new S4's and want to put custom wheels on. I bought two replacements with brand new tires for $650 off the board so I'd recommend searching here before running down to your dealer and getting an expensive replacement.
Street car suspension is pretty robust...nothing is likely to be even slightly damaged if you can't detect problems with the alignment.
