Me too...
It's a very confusing situation in my opinion. They "inspected" the lower control arms and determined they were "safe".
My question to Audi, then and now, is what happens now? Do I take the car back to the "Audi authorized technical center" every 3,000 miles to have the "safety inspection" done?
I was told the recall "expires" on 3-31-2006. Anyone hear this?
Is this a recall or a "safety inspection". I know what the letter says and I am left very confused by the whole situation.
Makes me want to buy another Audi real soon...

no...
Apparently the 'recall' is for a certain production run of mid/late 1999 production (2000 MY) A4, S4, and A6 cars.
I have it on good authority that AoA is being pretty "mum" on the entire situation.
It's confusing when and even if the parts are going to be replaced.
