Default It matters. Pulleys are different

You also want to make sure the amp rating is same or higher than original.

Default The alt did not come with a pully I removed it and put that on the autozone

alt. The amp rating is 120 on both.

Default Okay found out the difference. The valeo is ressed and the bosch isn't

so when you put the pully on it hits the alt and will not spin

Default Right - they ARE model year specific.

You need to get the same one that you have originally.

Default I put Valeo in place of my dead Bosch, pulleys, amperage, and connections were all the same...

perfect swap, works beautifully.

And is it just me or are there a lot of alternator posts lately? Or is is hypersensitivity since I just went through that?
