Default You are just a stage I, not surprising that he beat you...
You need to be a little higher than Stage I to beat him. Stage II+ with a good clutch should be enough to hang.

I have killed three C5 vettes all by no less that 2 cars with my current setup.

Seems like the normal C5. Z06 would have put bus lengths.
