Default I love Bellavia Audi's service department.....check your fog lights!

hey dudes,

brought my car for it's 7500 mile serivce and complained about everything i noticed about the car...

rattle here, pulling to the right there... yada yada yada... but i never thought my complaining would get such a great turnout...

one of the things i complained about was dirt getting into the fog lights... i didn't really think anything of it.. but i just found out that they ordered a new pair for me.. they said that the fog lights were defective and were cracking from the inside..

could you believe that? what nice guys!

check your fog lights gentlemen and ladies.. if there is dirt... have your dealer check it out...

anyone know how how a pair of new fog lights costs?

thanks for reading
MondoRockS4

Default Fogs are only $128 from Clair parts

Talk to Mack, he will give you wholesale/internet pricing.

I should have one arriving in the mail today!

Default Defective or designed that way?

If you look closely at the fog light assembly you'll see that it has various o-rings and such around the lamp itself to keep out water and dirt. The large o-ring around the reflector assembly actually provides the adjustment flexibility for aiming. However, the top of the assembly also has a "vent" hole, for lack of a better term, that is designed in. It is not a sealed compartment. Therefore, it will be natural to have some dust/dirt inside. I took mine apart after a couple thousand miles because I noticed this dust. Now, I've just removed them altogether!
2000 Silver/Silver/Tip
