i need to stop using Amsoil 0-30, i have lifter tick like crazy.

Switch to 5W-40 if you want to stick with Amsoil.

Default I used Amsoil 0-w30 on my other engine for
40,000 miles no problems?

Default Did running a thicker oil solve your problem?
How many miles does your engine have .. You could have possibly mechaniclly overreved it on a downshift or upshift into the wrong gear :P
