Default I need your help ?? - expert advice

Sorry for posting under S4 board but I need your help since there are so many experianced people over her..

Vehicle: A4 2002, quattro, sport,
Current stock sport setup:
235/45 17" rim width 7'5, offset 42
I like the looks of wide tire, wheel cambo.

Thinking of getting either:
245/45 17" on 8'0 or 8'5 rim with 35 offset
or

255/40 18" on 8'5 rim, 35 offset
(speedometer 2.8% too slow, no biggie)
or

255/45 17" on 8'5 or 9'0 rim, 35 offset
(speedometer 2.8% too slow, no biggie)

Tire that will be put on is Yokohama ES100.
245 - 9'8" tire width
255 - 10'4" tire width

Rims that I will get, will be lighter than my actual 26lb stock rim. So I can say weight of the wheel will not change much.

I have searched and read all over for the answers but did not find much.

Questions:
1. Will all setup fit ?
2. Any rubbing under the load ?
3. How will my drive quality change if I go 18" rim ?
4. With 18" will my ride be rougher ?
4. Will stering response suffer ?
5. Will it be harder to drive ?

Thx
Sorry for spelling mistakes

Default A few answers and pictures.

I had 245/45/17 Toyo T1-S tires and 17" x 8" BBS RC wheels w/ a 35mm ET on my 02' A4 3.0L

As you can see the combo fits nicely. Rubbing was never a concern. However, I'm quite sure it would rub with a 1"- 1.5" drop because the 245 tires came right out to the edge of the fender. Steering response was not affected and it was not harder to drive. Let me know if you have additional questions.

BTW, the wheels and tires are for sale. :-)

Default Eric question

I assume you do not have sport suspension ?
That is strange I have the friend who claims that he is running 255/35 19" with 32offset without problems..

Since 35 offset is just at the fender maybe I should get smth with 38 offset ?
Thx

Default The car does have the sport suspension.

How much do you plan on lowering your car?
