Last night coming home, a newer red Eclipse comes haulin up on my butt on the local 5 lane. He gets about halfway past me, then no isht, hits the brakes pretty hard and hangs back. In the corner of my eye I see that the car is packed and they're all pointing at my car and staring (in the good way). I know he wants a piece.

We catch a light, and the driver looks over and gives the nod. Now, stock for stock, a newer GTS Eclipse should actually be able to somewhat hang and not look silly. This car had 4 adults in it. A mediocre quattro launch put 2 cars on him by the time I was outta first. I ran it up to about 60 so they could feel the ruckus of the VM1, hahaha. After slowing down they passed me at a slow clip, all making bowing motions and flipping out, they loved it. I don't often make someone's day by smoking them. It was also a good reminder that stock programming is still pretty stout.

Asked what mods I had and I replied "stock except for the exhaust" - He couldn't believe it. Said he had different turbo, custom fual system. I could only confirm exhaust and BOV by what I heard. He looked legit though. Run was from 45-xxx and then from 0-50. I guess light tank and single passenger in the S4 may be close with three passengers in his ride . My response to him was "not bad for a family car with four doors, eh?" Much approval and yuks from his frineds

The 2000 G20t I owned at the time. I hate those cars .. I was glad to have the convertible down because that car has so many blindspots.

Guess they knew they were gonna get beat, just wanted to see what an S4 could do since they are so rare to be seen.
