I promised to update the board with my core refund from Stasis (long)...
It's a long story but they refunded all of my core except a couple hundred dollars, which they should be refunding any day now. The core went back to them after being disassembled by the local dealer for inspection by my old warranty company. The warranty co denied the claim so I had the dealer re-assemble and shipped it to Stasis. Well the dealer forgot one part and damaged another, so Stasis held back a couple hundred bucks until the dealer sent them new parts. I'm still waiting for the $2XX.XX, but the rest of the core was refunded promptly. Jason @ Stasis has been slow to respond lately, but has promised to send the $, so I feel fairly good about it.
One note on the tranny. The Torsen center differential is great, but it is noisy around slow corners. It clunks like one of the rear wheels is working against the other. Jason says it's normal and it doesn't bother me, but I wanted to share with the board in case others question the noise.
I was hoping the shifter feel would be significantly better with this tranny, but it isn't. I think either my UUC short shifter or poor shifter alignment are the culprit rather than the Stasis transmission. Thanks to Toy Guy I'll be addressing that soon
