I don't own one for several reasons. Spending that much on a car that can't even turn amazing results is crazy. I drove one and my K04 fwd kept right up with it. That's right. There are witnesses. Like the salesman who could not believe it. Now don't get me wrong, the S4 will pull me at highway speed but I'll catch up to it at every other gas station

What's the point in comparing a modified car to an unmodified one?
I'm sure if you put nitrous on your A4, it will really smoke a stock S4, and still cost less.
what exactly is your definition of "amazing results?" If $40k for 5.5 sec 0-60s in an aboslutely amazing total package is "crazy" then you kinda just called most of the people on this list crazy.
I believe you're the first & only person on this list to say he prefers an A4 over an S4. Many are willing to settle for an A4, but they don't think we're "crazy."
As for the price, $38k base is a pretty straight forward logical extension of everything you get on top of the 1.8t. If you equip an A4 2.8 as close as possible to a base S4, I you get about a $3.5k difference (MSRP). So, you pay $3.5k for 2 turbo chargers, a 6 speed tranny, 17" wheels, and a bose stereo. That just doesn't leave me feeling ripped off.
As for the fact that it's easy to get an A4 well below MSRP, it will be on the S4 soon enough too. No doubt that in a year, you'll be able to get them for $2k over invoice (IMHO).
And this doesn't take into account the best feature of the S4 - the badges. I can see the Visa add now:
Two turbochargers: one thousand dollars each.
Bose stereo upgrade: five hundred dollars.
S4 badges: priceless.

Speaking of PES....
Craig and Ken,
We all might need to get together soon. I have my PES system on the way. It should be here by the end of next week. Tony is "reviewing" it now. Give me another week or two to get it on and then well see what happends.
I feel a comparison article coming on " PES 30v vs TAP Stage 2 1.8T vs S4". What do you guys think?
