I STFA but still have no conclusion: will the Darintake + Funkweasel ITG system work better than a straight K&N drop in filter.

I have an extra air box that I can play around with. I found a local source for the ITG JC60-73 filter and can build the piping from Home Depot ala Funkweasel. The shop that has the ITG filter claims it is good for 300 brake horsepower.

Different people have posted different answers to this mod. Summer is coming and I want to get as much cold air to the engine as I can without major modification.

Thanks

Default considering Don P's testing showed the K&N didn't help at all.........

Default

Yes, I agree but am I wasting money putting together an ITG system?

Default no. Docslow and Piggie (and many others) have vagged and tested these intakes and I'm pretty sure

there is an improvement with the modded airbox and ITG filter. It may/maynot equate to a lot of HP, but it definitely flows better and they proved that with all the vag measurements (a bunch of acronyms I don't have any clue what they are, ITGs maybe??)

I'm installing an S-Flo with drilled airbox in the next week or so. I'll let you know if I *feel* a difference (or if someone can help me measure it)
