Default I want to buy HID bulbs, but I can't tell if I have HID headlamps (very new to this)...

Clearly, the bulbs that are in my car are not HID, but before I buy the right bulb (I was thinking 5000k), I want to make sure my headlamps are actaully HID in the first place. If it helps, my brights have sticker labled with "H7," but I don't see any markings on the 'regular' lights. Can anyone tell me what's actually there? Thanks in advance for the help.

Default regular halogens, my friend.

which means if you want HIDs it's gonna be a kit like HPP's, or just a nice set of halogen bulbs like SPP's high wattage ones, or PIAA, or soemthing like that.

I'd also put some better high beams in there, I hate our cars' high beam pattern/spread.

Default That's what I suspected. The front end of my car was wrecked a few years ago...

under a previous owner, and I had a feeling that the rebuilders didn't spend the extra $ on HID's.

Well, I'm in the U.S. and my avant is a U.S. model, but whoever rebuilt my front end decided to save some $ by not puting in new HID's.
