Default i want to change my oil today............ its my first time so i have a couple questions (more)

how much oil does this car usually take? 4qts?

And what kinda oil would you sugest for the winter time?

Any special filter to get?

Default 6.9 quarts/Mobil 1 0W-40 all the time/Get an OEM filter from your dealer, and remember to get a

crush washer for the drain plug. Having a filter wrench would be really helpful, because the filters on these car are usually on pretty tight.

No problem, changing the oil on these cars is super easy, getting the filter off can be a real bitch

it's probably the easiest DIY on the S4...but this might be hlpful for you...specifically for the tool to remove the filter.

Default I've actually see those bend and almost break trying to remove an S4 filter.

Although, I don't think the one that was being used was a Snap-On

Default I have a cheapy one from Autozone (the snapon pic was handy though).

Haven't had any problems with it. It seemed pretty durable to me.
