Default IC Rationale (more)

Who has chosen AWE IC's or similar (RS4 or APR) and why? I keep going back and forth between AWE and DUH + $1k.

Consider this question from a DIY installation perspective and answer the question. Forego price for a moment and chime in if the DUH FMIC is a DIY install and well worth it.

What would you do or do otherwise with the extra loot you would save in going the stealth IC route.

Thanks Team!!!

Would AWE + misters get the same gains as an FMIC?

Default Both are pretty good choices. The install is harder on the Duh unit

by quite a bit. It performs VERY well, on the street and dyno. I'd imagine the AWE ICs perform pretty well too.

One thing to consider is that in street driving during stop and go behavior the fmic will be cooled off by the fans. Just a small detail that could be important.

Also try to ignore the "arm chair fluid dynamicists" who have neither tested, installed, or passed a single engineering course(which would AT LEAST give SOME credibility) relating to either IC design. Look at dynos, do side by side runs, and then decide.

Default I picked the AWE ICs because I thought I could do the install myself.

Turns out I could, though I should have waited for a friend that could help out.

Well, that reason and the fact that my current goal for the car is to keep it as identical to Todd@Awe's as possible so it's as similar as possible for the software.
