---> how come everybody here loves the car so much. It needs to be said again and again, we hear mostly from the unfortunates on this board, to which people post world wide. Audi would have gone out of business long ago if the opinions often voiced here were shared by the rest of the world's S4 drivers. True, most of them probably don't hammer their cars as many on this board proudly report. Let's not lose our perspective. :-)

Well, at least in most cases. The stock K03s that blew is Audis fault. I blame the moron engineers. :P

Early S4's, chipped or not, had crappy BPVs, TBBs, IC hoses, and the notorious F-hose. Not to mention some K03's that just were just doomed from the factory (NASAs car for example). Did I forget the transmission problems? Oh, and the Bosh MAF sensors? And the 02 sensors while I am at it.
Now by the 02 models Audi had partially adressed most of these problems, but lets face it, early S4's were a mess.
Tuning these cars doesn't help anything, but alot of those parts needed to be replaced anyway.

I think I have said it multiple time here, and I will repeat it: The B5 S4 is by far the best car I have ever had. All major things hold up very well. Cheap things in it fall apart. What sucks is the service in the US, and that made me chose another brand for my next car, and the fact that I just don't like the B6 as I am convinced the B6 as the TT is all about show, and no go.
