Default If you have a Stratmosphere SS read this!

I have been experiencing problems with my SS ever since I installed this SS. The push-down motion to get into reverse does no fully go all the way down. Well, last week I took apart the shifter and found the problem. The rubber boot that houses the two shafts that goes down to the transmission is causing the problem. When press down, the shifter rubs against that rubber boot and therefore cannot go all the way down. Does anyone else experience this problem?

Default seen the reverse problem...sucks, don't it.: solution: get UUC and save an unnecessary headache...

trying to screw with parts you otherwise wouldn't need to mess with.

One of the several reasons why I sold my Strat SS after only 3 days of use.

Default Glad you found out what the problem is!

Sorry I couldn't meet up with you to try and help with your SS problem. Did you end up fixing the problem?

My UUC doesn't really even push down for reverse... Should I get it looked at?

Default Well, the push-down is supposed to be retained. You might want to initially inspect....

it yourself before you take it in. Take the boot off and make sure everything is in tact...spring & c-clip retainer, etc.
It's odd that you don't push down for reverse. Does first gear seem a little off to the right, or left(sorry, I think it would have an offset to the left if it's out of whack like that)? If it is, you are in need of a reinstall.

That sucks, does it look like you can adjust it to work properly or is it a design defect?
