I'm making downpipes and need catalytic converters quickly
What catalytic converter should I go with or what are my options???
I have a 2000 S4 with APR stage 1 chip and back exhaust/resonator. I read some concerns on cell counts below a certain count being problems. How low can I go before it starts setting off the engine code? What brands of cats are recommended? I've bought 4 3inch mandrel u-bends, and lots of 3inch tub, and machined the turbo flange all I still need to get is catalytic converts before I weld it all together. I will also be making a set of race pipes to put in also. How do people with race pipes (no cats) keep from setting engine codes? I'm a bit pressed for time as next week I have off and I'll be ordering and installing it all that week with my free time.
