Installed X-Pel clear bra on my car this weekend....
I installed the lower bumper kit and purchased some additional bulk material for future use elsewhere. They include a special squeege to assist with installation.
The instructions provided by X-Pel were great and they even have a free instructional video on which you are shown the complete installation on a BMW Z3.
Customer service is also excellent. I contacted them via email and phone and received quick, courteous and informational replys. They are even available during the week to assist you during actual installation via phone should you need help.
The kit was $100 which I've found to be far cheaper than other kits.
The kits was pre cut and due to the intricate shapes I employed the wife to help hold things for my initial application. By the end I was braver and doing everything myself.
The film is a LOT more forgiving than I had assumed and if you follow the instructions you DO NOT need a "professional" installer. Fingerprints are not a problem if you keep the film wet and it never sticks where you don't want it to. You can easily slide it around and position at will. Odd angles and shapes are easily covered and contoured with the squeegee. There are are many "extra" pieces of the kit that you can install in test areas and see how it feels before doing the real thing. You can easily pull off anything and re-do if necessary.
The results (on my silver S4) are wonderful. If you are in any way handy and have a bit of patients you can do this without expensive pro installation.
I highly recommend X-Pel as a company to solve your paint chipping fears.<p><a href=http://registry.audiworld.com/audi/registry/details.asp?car=5245>'00 Silver/Silver/Tip/Nav/Bose/Cold/Conv/Sunshade/Clear Bra</a>
