Insurance hasn't looked at it yet but the dealer is saying new motor...
Really wasn't planning on going Stage 3- yet but I'd be stupid not to. It could be a week before I hear the final word from the insurance company but in the meantime I want to start doing my homework. If they are pulling the motor I was thinking of the following:
K04 turbos (possible upgraded by Blouch)
RS4 inlet piping (is this required?)
new clutch and LWFW (CM IV?)
RS4 motor mounts
RS4 trans mounts
snub mount
Am I missing anything? Any input on the Blouch upgraded wheels or different clutches I should consider I'd really appreciate it as I feel like I am being rushed to make these decisions. This is my daily driver and might see track time in a couple of years but for now it is just for fun on the street.

I just did the same thing except
PJ K04's from Avalon
I'd say yes to the RS4 inlets, so much easier.
CM IV stock FW
RS4 motor and tranny mounts, VAST snub
might look into some type of DP's.

My thoughts inside-
I'd get the turbos upgrades- I really like my K04/RS6's and have had not issues at all with them. EPL and ASP have some really nice code for them that run in the 3.0- 3.2 FATS on pump fuel when you are ready to go that route.
Definitely upgrade the clutch (CM seems really nice)but I think I would skip the LWFW- I have heard street drivability suffers and many people get some chatter. I think this is one of those personal choices that people love or hate.
I prefer the ASP motor mounts and trans mounts- if you ever need to you can change the rubber (delrin?) in the motor mounts in less than an hour and they seem a lot less prone to failure than even the RS4's. You could go either way on the trans mounts. I think think I would get a Vast snub.
What did the dealer say was wrong with the engine? Hydro lock? Bent rods?

If I can save some money and skip the LWFW that is good to know
I emailed Brian and he said they were out of the K04s from that nice deal he had not too long ago. I'm waiting to hear back from him to discuss my options.
So the stock inlet pipes can be used but it is a pain to install? I currently have a full Samco hose kit. Would that be compatible with the new inlet piping?
I already have upgraded DPs and custom 3" exhaust.

the stock inlet piping won't fit directly to the K04's. you'd probably have to cut off the ends and
mate it up with some silicone couplers.

They haven't touched the motor yet but he tried starting it
The engine ran awful and would die if he wasn't giving it gas. When it happened the car would at least idle so things seem to be getting worse. He said I probably bent a rod or valve.
Who did you get your hybrids from?

I was going to go with cut K03 inlets but my mechanic/fabricator BWW
recommended just getting the K04 inlets. The K03's are cast aluminum and are a smaller diameter. I think a hose clamp would work but after looking at it, it is VERY tight in there. Not sure how to even tighten a clamp. Plus the hose clamp is in very close proximity to the exhaust manifold. And if the clamp started to leak, it'd be dang near impossible to fix with the motor in.
Take a look, its very tight.
