Default Items needed for chipping an S4
I was wondering what all should be done to my car before I go ahead and chip it. I have heard that the intake and exhaust should be done BEFORE you chip your car. Is this true? Can I just chip the car without doing the exhaust and intake? What else should I consider. Thanks for all your help.

you don't "need" to do anything. You can just chip it.

Default You don't really need the exhaust. I just makes for freer flow.
As far as safety things maybe get upgraded BPVs and TBB and if a 2000 maybe upgrade your f-hose.

Default Upgrade the TBB and DVs and F-hose (if applicable). These items are more prone to tear with the
extra boost.

Default 2nd, I did TT dv's(still have warranty, for stock look)
apr bi-pipe is the way to go if you want absolute reliability for torn TBB's, little expensive but worth it
