I've asked a few people but thought I would ask the general AW pop...K04's and APR stage II chip...
What do you all think about this setup. Here is a quick run down:
Blew K03's
Putting in K04's
5 Bar FPR
Piggie Pipes
VM3
Brand new stock clutch/flywheel (has 400miles-dealer just installed)
upgraded bpvs/tbb/hoses
Apr v3.3 w/ EMCS
So am I going to lean out too much near the top? Anybody have any suggestions that don't cost too much $$. I really don't think I can afford another chip right now, since I bascially just bought the apr. I do also have a TAP chip that came with the car (mild performance .08bar, didn't even know it was in the car).
Any and all help would be appreciated.

Look for someone who still has APR beta k04 software...
...back when I had piggie pipes (instead of the Autospeed downpipes I just had installed), my K04'd S4 ran great with that setup -- about 4-5 car lengths faster from 60-140 than a C5 Corvette 6-spd and 996 C2. Now it runs like *** (timing retards BIG TIME from 4k-6k rpms, but comes back after 6k rpms and runs fine below 4k rpms)with the Autospeed downpipes once the temps get above the 70's. It didn't do this last summer with the beta k04 software when I just had piggie pipes. I've never upgraded my FPR either. I think chaka was trying to get rid of his beta k04 chip. Maybe ya'll can trade or something.

i'm not even convinced that I want APR software period...if I could find any K04 software CHEAP....
then I would probably be interested. I guess my question really is though, will I have big issues?

I ran this setup for 6 months. just take it easy
I wouldn't track or autox on it (high revs), but for daily driving you'll be fine. MTM stage 3 (ie APR stage 2+) software may work better, but it's all a crapshoot, I think.

Talk to Mr. Piggie about this setup, although I'm going to do mine w/ GIAC and not APR - some are
finding this may be the way to go. You can log enough info to see if any harm will occur.
