the old mounts were shot.

the new mounts are very stiff. vibrations are felt throughout the car at idle. also the engine is slighty louder which has me a little wondering if this is normal. thanks.

i picked up the tranny mounts from someone on the forum.

from front to back. I did it in increments.

First I did the rear diff, test drove - no change to vibrations in car or noise levels.

Second - tranny mounts. Wow! huge difference in noise and vibration - a bit too much. Basically this just amplified the issue that my motor mounts were shot.

Third (most difficult) motor mounts - got them in, and basically all the mounts deleted the luxury feel to the car. Throttle response was greatly improved (largely due to the fact that the mounts were shattered on both sides)


I absolutely love the upgrade - the vibration is noticable, but only a little bit. After driving the car a week or so you wont notice anymore.

The engine sounds beautiful, esp at the higher rpm band. On the highway, the car isnt any noticeable louder, only when you get on the throttle.

Why did you go with track density instead of street density? I'd imagine the vibes would be less.
