Default Just ordered a new '04 S4

New to the board and hope that this is posted in the correct place. I just agreed on trading my 2001 S4 with 20K miles in on a brand new '04 S4. This was partially motivated by excessive motor oil consumption despite the fact that the dealer could not find a problem. In any event, I actually chose a black color over silver this time since the last was silver and I figured that I'd go for a change. Now I've been reading all over here that black is a difficult color to live with even if you take good care of keeping it clean and that brilliant black (the only black that I was told was available) is not a very nice color compared to ebony. Did I make a mistake? I can still change my order if it advisable.

Also, for those of you who did switch from the B5 as well, did you notice a huge improvement or disadvantage between the two in performance or quality.

Default My last S4 Avant was black and I'll never own another black car.......

the color is great and looks so nice when clean but that's the problem. I have hard water where I live and it was damn near impossible to keep it looking clean. It also showed EVERYTHING, tiny swirl marks, scratches, etc. I went to a Pearl Car and it's so much easier to keep looking nice. Don't get me wrong, Black is beautiful but the extra time I save from not having to wash it every 2 days lets me work on other mods. Good luck.

Default Black is the sh**. There is a black B6 S4 in the 2004 TuningWerks wheel guide edition and it is

beautiful...I'm not even super into the B6 body, but when you slam it, put on some big *** wheels, and a nice body kit, it is bad ***.
